    Dave, Monterey was the little town I was trying to remember. Will be on your route to San Francisco, if you go up the coast. When you leave San Francisco, you will pass by Sausalito and Muir Woods, both worth a look. See the cable car museum if you have time. Eat Chinese.

    monterey is nice. if you aren't aquariumed out, they have a nice aquairum. i took the boys to stay in the youth hostel there which was also nice and walking distance to the waterfront.

    we can daytrip to muir woods and sausalito when you are here. pile into our minivan and sightsee...

    excited you are so close!
